This elegant replica sword is based on the sabers carried by Napoleon’s light cavalry, or Hussars. This saber design was copied by armies the world over, and the pattern can be seen in the designs of U.S. cavalry sabers into and past the Civil War. This saber measures 39" overall, and offers a thick, moderately curved 33 3/4" blade made from 1055 carbon steel. The blade features a long, wide fuller and a sharp point ideal for delivering thrusts. The hilt boasts a leather wrapped grip and three-bar brass guard.
