This sword is the current top of the line for Ryumon. Live steel, sharp Ha, true hamon created with traditional japanese clay temper technique, a fuller runs the length of this blade to lighten and stiffen, one-piece brass construction habaki (blade collar) that enables the blade to fit securely into the saya (scabbard). Authentic top grade ray skin wrapped handle, Akagane tsuba, high gloss lacquered scabbard with inlaid brass sakura.
The Ryumon Top of the Line Ryumon Katana has a hand forged and folded 1060 High Carbon Steel Clay Tempered. The blade hardness is RC58 ha, RC45 shinogi-ji, creating a true hamon with traditional Japanese clay tempering techniques that produces a very hard ha. The guard (tsuba) is Akagane (red copper) finish. The handle utilizes a one piece brass construction habaki (blade collar) to ensure proper fitting of the blade into the saya (scabbard). In addition, authentic ray skin (same) is used to wrap the tsuka (handle) and then tied with imported Japanese cotton .
