Cold Steel Short Shaft Assegai Spear
Shaka, the mighty ruler of the Zulu nation, designed the short shaft stabbing assegai to give his warriors a superior weapon over opponents who were typically armed with the longer shaft throwing assegai. Crafted with a longer and broader spearhead, it gave Shaka’s warriors an incredible advantage in close quarter fighting. This weapon revolutionized tribal warfare in southern Africa and allowed Shaka to create a large empire through military conquests. This high quality replica is an excellent example of that weapon. The 13 1/2" long blade is constructed from SK-5 steel, and is incredibly sharp. The shaft is constructed from premium ash and provides a solid grip. This weapon measures 38" with the blade attached to shaft. Cold Steel, 95F.
