This is our NEW Hand Forged Functional version. The handle is wrapped in genuine brown leather for a better grip. This also has a genuine leather belt sheath.

These swords served as the short range weapon of choice among King Leonidas' Spartan warriors. The blade is sharpened and is 1045 high carbon hand forged steel, and is extremely sharp. The handle is wrapped in leather giving this sword a savage, utilitarian look. The hand guard is made of tempered iron. This is a rat tail tang blade. Comes with a leather belt sheath that has a 47 inch waist strap belt. These swords are lightweight and ready to wield. The sword itself without the belt scabbard is aproxximately 3 1/2 pounds, lightweight for easy wielding.

The shield is 12 pounds and intricately detailed to look exactly like the shield in the movie. The front is constructed of polyresin and the back metal and is 25 inches in diameter. The back has a handle and a velcro strap to secure it to your forearm. You will need that strap to hold this up, it's heavy!! Look at the details on this shield, it's designed to look as if it just came back from battle.
