Description

That's right, we have a "Do It Yourself" sword kit. This is a functional sword, once you put it together.

This kit comes with everything you need to put this katana sword together, plus maintenance items. You will receive a cleaning kit, protective cloth bag, and a decorative storage box. The whole kit is quite heavy and will ship "oversized". You also receive 2 different 3 inch Tsuba's in Mara Gata styles to change out the look of your sword!

The blade's hada is in Mokume (woodburl) style. A hada is the visible design of the grain of the sword steel. It is a result of the way the sword was folded during forging.

The nakago (sword tang) is in the Futsu style with a Kiri-Juri tip, which just means "a rounded tang tip".

The Kashira (pommel cap) is intricately detailed.

Tsuka (Handle) by itself: 10 3/4 inches

Saya (Scabbard) Length: 39 1/2 inches
Saya (Scabbard) Material: Wood, painted black, finished off with lacquer
Two 3 inch round iron Tsuba's

Hey, this is the coolest item you have here. I have been looking for one at an affordable price. It''s a exceptional blade, the blade itself could retail for the price of the whole kit.

Fun! & Educating

This was a real treat. My son and I learned how to do this together. What an amazing Katana this is. I love the blade patterns on this. My son is training to be the next Hattori Hanzo, watch out! LOL
